“The Mountain and The Viper” Game of Thrones Season Four Episode Eight

Spoilers:

Basically this episode was jam-packed with crazy moments.

I knew Daenerys was going to find out Ser Jorah was a spy, I think we all did. He was going to run into that some time and it might as well be now. After all, what happens next in Ser Jorah’s story is probably one of my favorite twists. I hope they put it in the show.

Sansa helping out LittleFinger? This scene didn’t really happen in the books, but I do like her gaining strength in the little chess game she’s playing. She is truly one of my favorite characters and I love how quietly vicious she is. She is definitely a wolf on the prowl.

And then they had to go ahead and throw in that last scene in the mix. I knew how Oberyn was going to die, but that visual was just a little too much for me. I will spare the details, because it was a little too “King Lear” for me. Seriously, though, that is one of the reasons why I don’t go near “King Lear” like I should. That one scene where Cornwall scratches out Gloucester’s eyes. EW! I can’t stand it and that’s why I could barely watch the death scene. And also, Oberyn was one of my favorite characters. He was such a cocky jerk, I loved it.

Basically loved this episode, even though the last part grossed me out. You can read my thoughts on the episode if you go to my twitter. My handle is essiedarcy.

Until the next episode.

Most Sincerely,

Jessica
